shadowscape in Romanian

Most of you know already that I’m Romanian, born and bred. I’ve started this blog in English for several reasons, having mostly to do with the fact that (a) I love this language and (b) I moved to the Netherlands a looong time ago.

For the past few weeks I’ve been toying around with the idea of starting a parallel blog in Romanian. There are things that I’d like to write about, like today, December 1st, which is the National Day of Romania, or politics, or stories of interest mainly to the Romanian Diaspora, and those are of interest only to Romanian readers, or simply come to me more natural in my native language. On the other hand, maintaining two blogs is a daunting task, especially considering how infrequently I update this one. Therefore I’ve chosen to make shadowscape a multilingual blog, which I’ve discovered to be possible on the WordPress platform, much to my delight. It needs just the right amount of tinkering to put a smile on my engineer alter-ego, and it’s the most simple and elegant solution I can think of right now.

So welcome to the new and improved shadowscape, in English and Romanian¹. I’ve translated this post in Romanian too, if you speak the language or if you’re just curious how it looks like, you can click on the little flag icon at the top of the screen and see for yourself. There still some tweaking to be done to the template and widgets, all in my copious free time, so please bear with me. In the meantime, enjoy!
